A 71-year-old Clinical Psychologist, former Modern Dancer, Barry has been playing folk guitar since his latter teens, and performs locally on his 1985, 12-string, Yari Alverez for delighted friends. He began studying Afro-Latin rhythms as a Dance major at Bennington College in 1972. Having played since this time, Barry has extensively studied world rhythms in various environments. For the past many years Barry performs as the percussionist with the New Klezmaniax house band from Or Hash and plays in other settings throughout the Delaware Valley. Barry has been performing with Melanie and The Lost Vaqueros since their inception.
